At home as well as business, I imagine that arrivals ought to be announced. We’d like a little warning when friends and visitors, both surprise and expected guests, come a-calling in order to get our demeanor set and our acts together; to light the candles so to speak. Even for those of us with budgets for butlers or doormen I’m sure. It’s a tradition to be received. It’s nice to have been announced too especially to the receiver, home occupant or business owner. Let’s face it, over 99% of our visitors are not culprits. Thus, we have “Spy equipment use for the Friendly too“.
Years ago we’d install hardwired vehicle sensors and/or secret motion cameras for clients. We wouldn’t say spy equipment, we’d use less scary vernacular depending on the application. We’d have these ‘announcers’ trigger a door bell for immediate notice over sometimes miles of underground wire and with that we’d offer a monitor in a convenient closet to run the tape.
Nowadays it is a heck of a lot cheaper for better surveillance camera systems. No matter how polite we are at its terminology, wireless saves consumers big-time with installation and maintenance. We had to wait for wireless technology to become reliable because of worst case scenario considerations. Now the technology is reliable, so much so that installations are much less of the business. The products are very consumer-friendly.
